an online authenticator.
A setup key can generate future codes. Keep it private, just as you would a password.
Need a hand?Read a QR image
Use a clear image with the full QR code visible. A cropped border, blur, glare, or heavy compression can prevent decoding.
Review the result
An authenticator setup link usually begins with otpauth://. Review its type and settings before opening it in another tool. Do not follow unfamiliar web links just because they came from a QR code.
If the image will not scan
Try the original image rather than a compressed copy. If the service provides a manual setup key, you can use that instead.
Supported purpose
This reader is intended for authenticator setup images. Successful decoding does not establish who created the image or whether its contents are trustworthy.
